A Message From Pastor Paul
Isaiah 43:18-19 God is ready for change. It’s time to spring forth and do a new thing all for the Glory of God!
We are starting the spring with our 40 Day Journey to the Cross of Christ Sermon Series. We will be devoting Good Friday to Jesus. The Church will be open from 9 AM – 3 PM for time of Prayer, God’s Word and the movie The Passion. We will also have 9 stations of the Cross to draw near to Christ. We will also finish the day with our Good Friday Service at 6 PM. There will be much more during this exciting 40 Day Journey!
Then we will celebrate Resurrection Sunday.
Also starting May 15 we will begin a new sermon series on the Great Commission focusing on Evangelism. We will have 2 special Guest speakers to launch this series (and another surprise!). Our annual Pentecost Sunday Celebration is on June 5.
I’m very excited to see what God is going to do this spring at, and withn, NGCC.
Praying God blesses us with our best year ever! So let’s get an extra spring in our step as we turn our Community upside down for Jesus Christ.
Be Blessed in Jesus.

NGCC Ministry News and Events
Kingdom Kids Children’s Ministry
We are looking forward to Spring! Everything wakes up, flowers begin to bloom, the days become warmer and longer! This all becomes a great teaching and learning experience.
The children are currently working on praise flags and are looking forward to showing them for Easter Sunday.
Last year I experienced a lot of health issues, resulting in a leg amputation. God has been great. I feel better than ever! Thank you to all the children’s ministry volunteers for stepping up in a big way!
We are looking forward to a great time this Spring:
- We are having an Easter Egg Hunt on April 16th at 2pm. We are collecting Easter candy and plastic eggs and value any contributions you care to make.
- We are planning a trip to the zoo in May. Date and time to be announced.
- We are so excited to say we have our toddler class up and running!
Thank you to all of the new volunteers… every one of them has remained faithful to the children. We could always use more help, especially with our nursery and toddler rooms. Please let me know!
In Christ,

Youth Ministry
The Youth will be going to Skycroft July 3-7, and will be having several fundraisers to support the trip. We will also have a skating fellowship on April 30. We are inviting several other churches to participate.
Everyone is welcome. Our lessons are about the life of Jesus.

Bridge Builders Ministry
Bridge Builder is a ministry that began almost three years ago as a partnership with North Glen Elementary School (NGES), across the street from the church.
During that time, North Glen Community Church (NGCC) has provided direct support to the school. We have ministered in a variety of ways through providing support for Teachers Appreciation week, to clothing drives, a backpack exchange to provide food supplies to those who need them the most, along with other ministry events.
Recently, we delivered Teachers’ Valentine bags. Church members decorated the bags and wrote cards of encouragement to the teachers, expressing our appreciation for the hard work they do within the North Glen community.
We are planning some upcoming events in the April /May timeframe. One is a combination Pop-Up Food Pantry and Mobile Health Care Fair. This will be for the entire community of North Glen, in providing tangible goods and medical services as we demonstrate the love of Christ for all people. Both these events will take a lot of planning and involvement from our church members to execute the events correctly.
In September/October, we hope to have an event that is both fun and serious at the same time. We are in talks with a Christian motorcycle stunt riding group, Ride4Life. We hope to partner with NGES to have a festival day with the school where Ride4Life will provide a presentation to the students about bullying, then invite the school and families over to the church to see Ride4Life perform some pretty incredible motorcycle stunts. The stunts are the draw for them to give personal testimonies, preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and call for decisions to be made for eternal salvation.
Are you looking for a way to make a difference for the people of our community, but don’t quite know how to go about it? Well, here is a way to show the love of Jesus to those within our community. Jesus tells us to feed the hungry, cloth the poor and minister to the sick, along with sharing the gospel. These upcoming events are designed to do just that.
So, if you want to make a difference in someone’s life-hop on board 🙂. We will be asking for your help over the upcoming weeks. Please prayerfully consider helping.
We are better together than we are alone.
Thank you!!

Women’s Ministry
Hello Ladies!
The Women’s Ministry will have a fellowship tentatively planned on April 23rd to watch the movie Risen.

Men’s Ministry
Together with the NGCC church family, we are focusing on the coming Easter season and remembering that we serve a Risen Savior…Jesus is Alive !! He conquered death and if we have chosen to follow Him, we share this victory. Praise God.
Our Men’s Ministry continues to see several new men here at church and let’s welcome them and encourage them in our walk of faith in Jesus. Let God use you to be a blessing to others that He intentionally brings in your path. We each can share the Hope that we have in Christ.
We are in the planning stages for spring and summer activities for our group and announcements will be coming soon. The men are encouraged to join in the many exciting things that are currently happening at NGCC.
Stay connected to the men’s ministry and encourage a friend or brother who needs to get connected with other men on this journey of faith in Jesus. Updates will be communicated during our services, posted on our church website, the church phone app and the church and men’s ministry Facebook group pages.
Please share your thoughts and ideas for future fellowship and ministry opportunities to me. Also continue to lift one another up in our prayers.
Hebrews 10 : 24-26 – And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Music and Praise Ministry
The music ministry has gone through many changes since October when Rick Holmes stepped down from his position as leader of worship. Lena Netzer and Frank Buckland have stepped into co-leading the ministry on an interim basis. God has a plan to continue in His service. While we wait and pray for a more permanent worship leader, our worship band has been, and will remain, committed to bringing praise and worship to North Glen.
We also had another loss within our praise band… Guitarist Bill Bock, affectionately known as B Bock went Home to be with the Lord. B Bock not only played guitar but he was extremely talented in setting up the sound board and really helping whenever he could. B Bock is surely missed.
If you have a gift and talent with working at the sound board, please let us know!

Ministry Leader
As Ministry leader, I am learning everyday about each ministry and its place in the Body of Christ, the Church. With this knowledge, I can direct interested people to a ministry/ministries that they may feel called to join. Newcomers to the church can also be directed to our ministries. Serving Our Lord and our fellow brothers and sisters is fulfilling Jesus’ desire as found in Romans 12:4-8 about the many gifts God has given us if we are born of the Holy Spirit.
The inserts that are in the bulletin introduce the various ministries that a person could try out and also introduce everyone to the leaders of these ministries. Anyone who helps with a ministry can experience a sense of family and friendship.
Getting and staying involved will help you in spiritual growth and godly love. Involvement is the key. You need to DO IT to grow. And in serving you learn to love and know each other.

Greeter’s Ministry
Greeters are the first people that anyone sees coming into our Church. Smiles and a warm greeting are extremely important, being the first impression. The tough world we live in creates tension in life and to feel welcomed is very important. People that see you every week can feel comfortable and eventually develop trust. They then may become interested in areas of service that further help all to get to know each other.
It all serves a purpose – to know and serve the Lord and each other!
