A Message From Pastor Paul
Our NGCC 2023 Vision Statement: We Exist to Glorify God
Let’s live this out this year!
Spring brings us on our Journey to the Cross. We will walk through Jesus’ amazing prayer in John 17 that will guide us in our desire to be a House of Prayer. We will finish strong in our 4-part Sermon Series in John 17 on Good Friday, with the Blessing of Jesus praying for His Church just hours before His crucifixion.
Then we will celebrate Resurrection Sunday with a new sermon series on the Doctrine of the Resurrection found in 1 Corinthians 15. This is one of the most exciting chapters in the Bible with the awesome Gospel message of Jesus Resurrection and an exciting look at what we will experience in our resurrection into our glorified body. We will also have a special guest speaker, a Pastor sharing his personal testimony on the persecuted church.
Look forward to a special Mother’s Day Service with another guest speaker that will be a blessing to all of us.
Spring will end with our yearly outdoors community celebration of Pentecost Sunday.
We will continue our daily worship in the Book of Psalms through the Spring. I hope this is drawing you into a more intimate relationship with Jesus just as it is blessing me.
We will also be moving our new Ministry House of Prayer North to our Sunday morning services monthly to help us grow in our worship of the Lord. I’m looking forward this Spring to seeing our worship services elevated as we seek to glorify God and become the House of Prayer Jesus desires us to be!
Let’s Spring forward in our passionate pursuit of Love for Jesus and our Love for one another. I am very thankful and honored for the opportunity to serve the Lord as your Pastor as we seek the Kingdom of God
Praying for the Best Spring ever all for the Glory of God!

NGCC Ministry News and Events
Kingdom Kids Children’s Ministry
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6.
Our goal has been to encourage our parents to follow what is said in Proverbs 22:6. Our Kingdom Kids need guidance in developing their walk with Jesus Christ so that one day they may come into a very real and personal relationship with their Savior.
The children are at a great place where they are asking some really cool questions. They are getting hungry for the Word! They need encouragement as we are also developing them into being responsible for their own personal spiritual walks.
We are gearing up for a great Resurrection weekend! On Good Friday, the children will be learning just how great of a Savior Jesus is… that He began His journey to the cross for us at 6pm! On Saturday we will have our Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the community at 2pm. We will invite everyone back for Resurrection Sunday at 11am so we may all celebrate our Risen Savior, Jesus Christ. What a great weekend of celebration!
Soon we will be gearing up for our Pentecost Sunday celebration…. And VBS! What an exciting time to jump in and get involved with the children.
Remember… If you have a pulse, you have purpose. If you have not yet found your purpose or gift of serving, this is a great time to pray and ask God where you fit in. Please contact me with any questions!
In Christ,

Hello, everyone!
For our April fellowship: We will watch the movie entitled “Risen.”

Reflect on Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen.”
Thank you, Kim, for all you do!!

Men’s Ministry
The Spring season is here and signs of new life is evidence of the mighty power of our Father God and His beautiful creation for us to enjoy. With Easter coming, we also think of the perfect Love of the Father and our Savior Jesus Christ as we celebrate in thankfulness for His sacrifice for us… to come to earth, live a perfect life and provide forgiveness of our sins with his death and resurrection. Jesus is Risen!
It is great to see so many men of the church, including new guys, who are actively serving in the ministries at NGCC. Our monthly outreach drive-thru food pantry, led by brother Barry Mager, can always use more volunteers one Saturday per month. This is having a huge impact on our community and shows God’s love to our participants in a very tangible way to meet their needs. Be in prayer to ask and seek where the Lord is leading you to serve.
Stay connected to the Men’s Ministry and encourage a friend or brother who needs to get connected with other men on this journey of faith in Jesus. Updates will be communicated during our church services, emails, posted on our website, the church phone app and the Church and Men’s Ministry Facebook group pages.
Please share your thoughts and ideas for future fellowship and ministry opportunities to me as I serve as Men’s Ministry leader.
Matthew 28:6 – He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Youth Ministry
The youth group is making plans for summer camp at Skycroft – camp has had the biggest influence on the youth – they are saturated with the gospel message and they are with many other youth worshipping our Lord together.
This camp is a little over $300 for each youth, and we are missing a large partner that has been helping us in the past, so we really need some help! Please pray for the Lord to guide you if you feel led to help.Thank you so much for those who supported us through the bake sale. We will be having two more fundraisers over the next few months.
We are working our way to the story of the Resurrection. A new curriculum is coming out for Autumn that is designed for both saved and those still on the journey, questioning, etc. I think it will be a positive move for us.
Pray for our group that the Holy Spirit moves, calling them to a closer walk or commitment to God.

Greeter’s Ministry
Dear Church!
Thanking everyone for all the prayers for my back. I am walking and praising Our Lord for that. It was touch and go for a few weeks, but I am thankful for treatment and the most important thing of all, Our Father giving me the gift of walking again. Don’t take anything for granted, Our lives and all that is in them are gifts from God!
So next, want to thank everyone who filled in for me in greeting Church-goers: Mary Kelly, Kaitlyn and kiddies, and last but not least, Debbie, who had a lot of sickness herself. Greeting is so important. A happy face and hello is what can make a great first impression, and is so important for everone, even long time members and attendees.
I would like to have brunch/breakfast at church on a Saturday so we can get to know each other. This is especially for me because I am newer than most leaders and for Joe Johnson who is our newest leader. So give me ideas, everyone! I have a few more ideas myself, and would like to discuss them, then choose the best!

Bridge Builders Ministry
Howdy everyone!
First and foremost; it is God who has brought about, opened all the doors, and equipped the saints for all blessings that flow from within our Church and within our community for His glory and honor.
Our monthly Harvest Pantries continue to show strong demand from our community neighbors. The Harvest Pantry peaked a couple months ago by distributing food to 800 people and ministering in prayer to approximately 32 carloads per pantry. The Gideon Society has also been a tremendous source of blessings, distributing approximately 75-100 New Testaments per pantry along with their downloadable Bible app which has all languages. We work with our friends at North Glen Elementary School with getting the word out to the North Glen community.
As you may know, the Government has reduced monthly SNAP benefits by as much as 90% of what recipients were receiving during the pandemic. Due to this reduction, we should expect to see an even stronger demand for food and supplies in future pantries.
Particularly encouraging is the diversity of people groups we are seeing come through the pantry. The pantry is ministering to White, Black, Asian, multi-racial and handicapped households, which reflects the makeup of our community.
In the Gospel, Jesus commands that we are to feed the poor. Each person that volunteers in any way and or prays is fulfilling the Lord’s command.
Our next Harvest Pantry is Saturday, April 8. Set up begins at 8am. Distribution to the community begins at 10 until noon or while supplies last. Volunteers are needed!
Hope to see you there 🙂
We also have the Backpack Buddies program with North Glen Elementary School. The church provides weekly food supplies to children that the school has identified as the most needy. The program works by the church providing two breakfasts, lunches, dinners and four snacks that will support the child by providing nutritional food throughout the weekends when they do not have access to school meal programs.
A big shout-out to all who have donated food supplies for the program and to Maureen and the ladies of her Bible study for ensuring the supplies are packaged and delivered to the school on a weekly basis.
We are currently in need of lunch and or dinner type foods. These can be Dollar Store/Walmart type foods. Anything is appreciated.
Please continue to pray that the Lord will send the workers to support these ministries to our community neighbors and also that we can expand to meet any additional opportunities where the Lord may (and will) open the doors for us.
In the book of Exodus, when Moses and the Israelites were to cross the Red Sea in their escape from Pharaoh’s army, God told Moses to “raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so the Israelites can go through the sea on dry land’. In a similar way, we can pray that God will bless our ministries as He sees fit and make us willing and available for His use. Miraculous things will then happen…we can stand back and see what the Lord has done!
In God’s love,
Barry Mager
